As a Melaka renovation contractor, these are the three jobs we take on most often.
House extensions
Wet kitchens, car porches, extra bedrooms and laundry rooms, built from the footing up. For Melaka projects we also prepare the Majlis plan submission.
Built-in carpentry
Kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, TV walls and shop counters, measured on site and made in plywood or aluminium.
Shops, salons and clinics
From a bare shell to opening day: partitions, ceilings, counters, lighting and the shopfront.

If something needs attention within 1 year of completion, we return to sort it out.
The last 10% is paid at the end
Payment follows progress: 30% to start, 60% during the works, and the final 10% after you’ve seen the finished job.

Kevin Tan has worked on renovation sites since 2010
He started at 20, working alongside his brother at the original JL Design & Build. In 2023 he set up JL Design & Build Enterprise to carry the name forward with his own team.

We don’t offer instalment plans. Payment is staged by progress: 30%, then 60%, then the final 10% at completion.
